HRCC Historic Queensland
Excellent weather and a good entry made for exciting
racing at Morgan Park Raceway for the annual HRCC
national race meeting. Under 2lt Group N was
outstanding with a big field headed by tight racing from
the two Lenstra Escorts and the Cooper S of Graham
Russell. With a Mini only feature race on Sunday it
attracted some 18 Minni Cooper S competitors, many
from interstate.

HRCC Autumn Historic Warwick
What a fantastic race meeting this was with 26 Heritage Touring Cars puting on a fantastic set of 4 races to
delight the fans. It was the second round of their championship and it was Tony Alford dominating in his GIO
Nissan Skyline GTR. Also great to see the ex Moffat and Longhurst Sierras racing hard. The meeting
attracted 165 entries and was well supported by spectators. Group N Touring Cars also produced some good
racing through the large fields. Craig Allan and Dean Neville had some great fights for race wins. Historic
sports sedans made a comeback and was good to see these purpose built rockets.

HRCC Historic Lakeside
It has been quite a while since the Historic Club held an
event at the iconic Lakeside race circuit on the outskirts
of Brisbane. A weekend of qualifying and 25 races for
the 80 or so entrants would make for plenty of laps.
However the weather played a significant role with
Saturday presenting perfect racing conditions followed
by a forcast of rain for Sunday and rain it did. With
Saturday running well ahead of schedule it was decided
to bring some of Sundays racing forward leaving only 7
races on sunday. Overall a great event with good vibes
coming from the pits.
